The project is an installation of turntable sculptures playing records wtih endless grooves.
Each of those specially produced 12inch vinyl records have up to 100 endless grooves.
Each groove containing an endless 1.8 sec. music loop at 133BPM. |

The installation is a room filled with up to five "compact/box" modules and each module represents one "instrument" within an "orchestra" of turntables.
Each module combines one Reloop RP-6000 MK 5s professional turntable and one Sinn7 ASM-8 active monitor speaker. |

During the installation the audience is asked to change the playing loops on each of the modules. That leads to a constantly changing sound and rhythm.
The compact/box installation has been introduced during the "Dialog Festival Winterthur" 27./28. Oct. 2006. "compact/box" is a project of Bernhard Moosbauer and Oliver B. Rubli.
